That’s us: EGA Leichtmetall. Our heart beats for aluminium. For over 90 years, we have pursued our passion for a versatile, lightweight metal – aluminium.
Continuous casting, which would become the world standard in the production of wrought alloys, was invented at our Hannover location in the 1920s. We have been producing outstanding quality high-grade aluminium ever since this groundbreaking innovation. Even today, our skilled engineers are continuously optimising the continuous casting process.
Our Leichtmetall continuous casting process produces aluminium cast bars with a consistently high quality. Furthermore, we are also constantly perfecting our manufacturing process. This not only enables us to offer classic standard materials, but also application-specific that can raise the bar to new standards.
Leichtmetall is a subsidiary of Emirates Global Aluminium, The largest ‘premium aluminium’ producer in the world.
